Some Questions About Translation Jobs at Our Agency

Why haven’t I received a response to my translator application?

If you’ve applied and haven’t received a response after submitting your application, it means your profile does not match our selection criteria, or the proposed fees are too high for our agency. In such cases, your application will not be processed, and your profile will not be entered into our database. We appreciate your understanding.

What kind of translation jobs does your company offer?

We only work with certified translators accredited by Canadian or foreign translation associations. Ellipse World is also looking for freelance interpreters who can travel across Canada to assist our clients in their multilingual communications.

Is a free translation test necessary before working as a translator?

No. However, if you apply as a technical translator or in a specialized field, it is likely that we will ask you to perform a free translation test to assess your skills. We do not require such tests for certified translators who have already been accredited by a professional body.

What types of profiles are you looking for?

Our company collaborates only with freelance translators who possess complete professional proficiency. For example, we only partner with professional translators who have degrees, at least five years of experience in language services, and translate into their native languages. Any translation request not meeting these criteria will not be processed.

What documents must I provide to apply as a translator?

For years, translation agencies have been combating fraudulent profiles trying to impersonate genuine translators. Therefore, we always require the following documents when you submit an application:

      • Proof of identity
      • Proof of your translation capability (degree AND letters of recommendation)
      • Any proof of accreditation from a translation association.
      • Any proof of conducting a legal activity (business number, tax number, etc.).

Any application for a translation job that fails to provide the required documents (according to the profile) will not be able to collaborate with Ellipse World. Thank you in advance for your understanding.

Do you have question about our recruitment process?

You can write to us at [email protected]. An expert will respond promptly to your inquiries (please do not send applications to this email address).
